Inn Home Support Volunteering and Advocacy

The Inn Home Support Program was established as a means to provide support to persons who are presently housed, often in somewhat precarious situations.  Many clients/participants were homeless in the past.  Clients are vulnerable individuals who would benefit for a one-on-one relationship with a caring volunteer.  Volunteer Advcoactes of the Inn Home Support Program assist these clients through a range of activities (i.e. driving to appointments, sharing a coffee, going for walks etc.) based on the interests and schedules of both the client and the Advocate.  Generally, this support will involve a one to two hour get together every week or two weeks.

INN HOME SUPPORT ADVOCATE APPLICATION:
We require:
1) a completed Application Form to be submitted to our Volunteer Coordinator prior to volunteering;
2) a completed Criminal Records Check by RCMP prior to volunteering and;
3) participation in a 3 hour orientation session.

Step 1) To get started, please complete and submit the Application form here:
Inn Home Advocate APPLICATION .  Applications must be printed and signed.  Completed forms can be mailed, scanned and emailed, or posted to our office (see contact details below).

Step 3) Please sign up to an Orientation & Training Session. These sessions may be held as a group if there are several volunteers interested, or, as an individual session- depending on the number of applicants.
