Overnight Shelter

Volunteering is rewarding - we need you! Our shelter is an emergency overnight shelter open from November till March, the coldest winter months. While volunteering at the shelter, you will learn new skills, meet new friends, and be part of an important cause. Make a difference in your community by sharing your skills and interests.

SHELTER APPLICATION:

We require:
1) a completed Application Form to be submitted to our Volunteer Coordinator prior to volunteering. Once you filled out the online form, you are a registered volunteer.
2) a completed Criminal Records Check by RCMP prior to volunteering. (not as important for food volunteers; mainly for reception/set up, morning and overnight volunteers)
3) attendance to our orientation/training session.

- or - Download and complete paper form. (PDF) (must be printed then mailed or dropped of at our address)

Step 3) Please sign up to one of the following Upcoming Orientations & Training Sessions.

Step 4) Shift Duties and Times: Some time and task changes due to our new location. Please read carefully Duties and Tasks of Shifts before signing up to shifts. Shift Duties

Step 5) Available shifts are posted in the Calendar
As a registered volunteer, you can go ahead and sign up for shifts, anytime, anywhere! It's easy and convenient.
