These programs benefit staff and organizations, as well as those they serve. Since 1980, CPI has supported the work of professionals who work with challenging or potentially violent individuals by providing a relevant, practical behavior management program. It's called the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training program and more than 6 million professionals—spanning from facility administrators to front-line mental health providers to bus drivers—have participated in this program to learn how to resolve conflict at the earliest possible stage. The regular cost to obtain this two day certification is $1000, however, by signing up for 10 shelter shifts or more, Inn from the Cold – Kelowna volunteers are able to receive their Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate for $50, a mere fraction of the cost. The next training session is scheduled for February 9th & 10th, 2012 from 8:30am - 12:30pm on both days. For more information or to register for the next session, please contact:
